Daniel Budden-Lamb (35) is the Global Head of Celebrity at 111SKIN and Jonny Budden-Lamb (31) is the Founder of Avenue Communications (PR Agency). They met in a store in Brighton in 2010, it was love at first sight (truly). Jonny proposed to Daniel on a beach in Mauritius during a holiday in November 2018. The couple tied the knot at a lavish modern wedding in London.

The best part of our day was celebrating our love and being with our family and friends
We choose to get married at…
We choose to get married at Marylebone Town Hall, The Foundling Museum and The Green Room at the Londoner Hotel as we wanted to capture the perfect mix of classic London architecture, beautiful art, settings/history and a luxe modern party to end all parties in the evening. We hired black cabs to ferry all of our guests from each venue which added a chic and quintessentially classic London twist to the day.
I knew I found ‘The One’ when….
I (Jonny) knew I found ‘The One’ when a fitting at Gucci for a custom MTM velvet jacket felt just right and the colour scheme worked perfectly with my SS Daley Shirt and Floral print Trousers. Equally for the evening outfit, I knew the Bottega Veneta trousers were the ones as soon as I saw them, then in Versace, the first silk shirt I tried on worked perfectly with the colour palette. Both of our looks were topped of with custom made Roker shoes.
I (Daniel) knew I found ‘The One’ straight away as the Molly Goddard mens suit & shirt was exactly what I had in my mind, especially when paired with the SS Daley sleeveless knit vest. Equally the candy pink AMI jacket and Acne trousers were the perfect party outfit. Further to our own shoes we also had Roker custom make all our groomsmen & bridesmaids custom shoes. All engraved underneath with our initials and the date of the day as an amazing memento/gift we could give to our closest friends.

The hardest part of planning was
The hardest part of planning was dealing with covid delays and uncertainty. We overcame it by focusing on the bigger picture and getting more and more excited as the date finally arrived.
Wedding menu highlights..
Our wedding menu highlights were the 3x course wedding breakfast. Heritage tomato with buffalo mozzarella, Parma ham crisp and balsamic dressing. Pan fried lamb rump with truffle pomme puree, heritage carrots and sauteed kale. Italian Tiramisu with gold leaf. The Veggie/Vegan friendly options were also a highlight – especially the Wild Mushroom and Spinach Strudel for main course.
Our first dance song was…
Our first dance song was Love Hangover by Diana Ross. We love disco and dancing so this was truly the song we were always going to dance too. The perfect mix of a sensual build-up into the iconic disco breakdown of the chorus. DJ Fat Tony played this for us before breaking into an epic two hour set of bangers, closely followed by Lou Hayter doing the same for the next two hours.

My top three tips for any couple would be – be sure to consider the finer details such as table scaping, cutlery and glasses as elevating those makes all the difference. Also, make sure the flowers and stationery colour scheme/theme carries through. Lastly, breathe and try to enjoy any hiccups and/or the stressful countdown to the day. It’s all part of the process.
For our honeymoon we chose..
For our honeymoon we chose Japan, but sadly this has been delayed due to it being one of the only countries left with strict covid restrictions. We will be going on a mini-moon to Mexico very soon.

If I was able to do it all over again, the one thing I would change is making sure to call all the suppliers the day before the big day (or get your wedding planner too), to make sure all is in order at the very last minute. There’s always one or two small things that will pop up un-announced. Otherwise nothing! It was the best day of our lives.
